Biografía
La Dra. Susan K. Boolbol, FACS, es la jefa del sistema de oncología quirúrgica mamaria y del programa de mama. Es una oncóloga quirúrgica mamaria certificada y con beca de especialización, y realiza diversas cirugías de cáncer de mama, incluyendo lumpectomías y mastectomías. Tiene un interés especial en la cirugía oncoplástica y la mastectomía con conservación del pezón; también es cirujana certificada en Cicatriz Oculta. La misión personal de la Dra. Boolbol es diagnosticar y tratar con éxito el cáncer de mama y otras afecciones mamarias, atendiendo a la paciente de forma integral, tanto emocional como física, en cada etapa del proceso. Participa en numerosos proyectos de investigación y su trabajo ha sido publicado en importantes revistas médicas y arbitradas. La Dra. Lo más importante es que tengo una subespecialización en cirugía mamaria. Tengo una profunda experiencia clínica en cirugía oncológica del cáncer de mama y participo activamente en investigaciones clínicas.
¿Qué es lo más importante que deben esperar sus pacientes de su relación profesional con usted?
Siempre seré sincera con los pacientes para informarles de sus opciones. Veo y trato a mis pacientes como a una persona en su conjunto y espero que sean capaces de ser sinceros conmigo sobre sus preguntas, miedos o inquietudes.
¿Cómo pasa su tiempo personal cuando no está cuidando pacientes?
Cuando tengo tiempo libre, me gusta viajar, esquiar, montar en bicicleta y leer. Lo que más me gusta es pasar tiempo con mis hijos, mi familia y mis amigos.
¿Por qué eligió su especialidad y cuál es su mayor recompensa?
Cuando estaba en la escuela de medicina, a mi prima le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama y, desde entonces, tratar el cáncer de mama es una misión personal para mí. Quiero cambiar la experiencia y los resultados de los pacientes.

Dr. Boolbol is nothing out of the extraordinary. She is EXCEPTIONAL, I was told over and over by everyone I spoke with All I did was mention her Name and I was told the same thing She is Incredible, Amazing, She is The Best of the Best. To see it for myself I am pleased to say “ Dr. Boolbol is Exquisite Incredibly knowledgeable, Made me feel very comfortable treated me with such care, I didn’t feel like another patient, She made me feel Iike Family, I will recommend her to anyone that needs medical attention. Dr. Boolbol and her Medical Assistants were Exceptional. They deserve a rating of 1,000% and over Not just a 10.
