Dr. Appel has mediocre "bedside" manner, very abrupt, somewhat gruff and disinterested in the details of my condition. I only saw him because Miechelle [ ] wasn't available and would not rush to see him again.

Dr Appel exceeded my expectations. He was calm, reassuring, patient and thorough. He listened to me and responded directly to ensure I understood his questions and answers.

I've had two colonoscopies in the past with Dr. Appel. And the most recent was a consult. He is always compassionate, gave me options, explained everything very thoroughly and an excellent bedside manner. I know he only does office visits now but would highly recommend him!
